The owner of this rig explained that this was his dad's original ranch truck, and that he wanted it brought back to life. Once we had the idea of putting the old body on a newer chassis, we knew this would be a badass build. This truck is the perfect example of modern drivability and conveniences combined with the retro-styling and feel of the early '70s.
With extensive fabrication including shortening the frame by 18 inches and adding new spring mounts & perches, we were able to place the rear axle where it needed to be.
Fitment is everything, and without any suspension lift, 35" Toyo MT tires fit perfectly under the round wheel wells.
The bed received special attention as we designed an all-purpose rig. The custom headache rack contains a winch big enough to pull anything into the bed - elk, deer, a raft, whatever. The bed also features a custom sliding storage box built into it, and is heavy-duty enough to support the weight of even a full sized four-wheeler.
